Types of cups/ Bra Inserts
Push up Bust Enhancers
Smaller tear dropped shaped inserts used to create more cleavage without adding complete fullness to the bust.
Soft Molded Cup
Very thin, and soft almost no form of padding. I use these in close fitted dresses with little structure other than a lining, its a soft shaping but provide no support.
Molded Foam Cups
These, I use to create shape in dresses where cleavage & lift are not the primary concern, instead the wearer is more interested in shape and nipple shielding.
Molded Bra Push up Cups w/ Gel
These are my favorite. They feel like you're wearing a bra without straps. they provide great support, and push up enhancement. They are often seen in two standard shapes; Teardrop & Triangle.
Side note: Due to the gel you need to be very careful when sewing them in, if you puncture them, the gel inside can leak out and ruin a garment. Also these do increase the size of the bust which can effect the fit of the garment.
Example
The left image is a standard soft molded cup to give the dress shape. The right side is a push up enhancer that has been placed in addition to the molded soft insert.
High Quality verses Low Quality Cups
These (white) are very circular cups & they look pretty unrealistic for the female form. They are more unflattering than effective.
